NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A majority of Major League Baseball players who took part in a recent poll made it clear that Nashville should be the next city to have its own MLB team, according to The Athletic.The site's annual MLB Player Poll found that 69% of active players surveyed felt the Tennessee capital was the best city for an expansion team. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport announced it would be fast-tracking improvement projects with the Airport Expansion and Development Program.AUS said the airport was previously projected to reach 30 million annual passengers by 2037; however, it is now projected to reach that by 2027.The airport said many of the improvement projects were already underway, which were aimed at addressing the need for more capacity for record-breaking growth and building out new facilities and modern infrastructure to support future generations of travelers. CAMERON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A person living in south Texas recently got diagnosed with a rare mosquito-borne disease. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) announced Friday someone who spent time working outdoors in Cameron County, which sits on the U.S.-Mexico border along the Gulf of Mexico, contracted malaria. State health experts are now working with local health departments on further tracking, according to DSHS. Second mosquito with West Nile Virus found, health leaders share prevention tips The agency shared that malaria is spread through mosquito bites and can cause death. Symptoms are similar to the flu, and include fever, shaking, chills, sweats, headache, body aches, nausea and vomiting. DSHS is now advising doctors to consider malaria diagnosis for patients who have fever or these other symptoms, as well as a history of getting bitten by mosquitoes in an area where malaria recently spread. WHITE CREEK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police announced they have arrested two people in White Creek on drug charges.
